Annet Mahendru

Mahendru was the child of an Russian mother and a Hindu Indian father in Afghanistan. She speaks fluently in German Russian and English and is also fluent in French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. When she was 11, Annet Mahendru choreographed and performed a dance which earned her an appearance on German television appearance. The show included a snow maiden from Russia who was transformed into an exciting Indian dancer. After high school, she graduated and earned a bachelor's degree from the Department of English at the University of New York. In college, she attended acting classes at the HB studio but the moved on to study improvisation at The Groundlings School taking on several comedy projects thereafter. She was raised in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, and Russian-speaking mom Olga. Her father moved her to New York, when she was 13 years old. She stars in FX's The Americans alongside Matthew Rhys. Television actress who is best known for her character as the the former KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova on FX's The Americans.
